FAH provides housing for the economically trapped.

Those that earn too much to benefit from any social support but too little to be able to afford to buy their own home.

Those who are unable to get a mortgage on their own:

·         Post graduate students

·         Single parents

·         Parents with a combined low income

·         Urban based key & essential workers who have not yet secured a home

·         Newly single/ widowed women over 55+

·         Owner aspirationals who want a village feel while saving

·         Expats with no family close or in Aotearoa that want community

According to research undertaken for Auckland Council in 2019, at least 300,000 Aucklanders fit into this category. This demand is now higher given significant house price increases since Covid.
